Faucet Strommen are makers of the finest tapware and architectural fittings, sustainably crafting beautiful pieces for seamless architectural interiors. As an exhibitor at Kitchen+Bath Show 2025, they share insights into the passion behind the Australian Made brand and what it means for their customers, the country and the environment.

What does the craft aspect mean for Faucet Strommen?

At Faucet Strommen we have a deep passion for craftsmanship. For nearly 26 years we have refined our approach to working with solid brass, now transforming raw materials into refined, functional works of art. In our Kerang factory, located in regional Victoria, brass bars, plates, and tubes are machined, polished, finished and assembled to create exquisite tapware and hardware that meets the highest standards of precision and durability. This level of control over the entire process allows us to offer an industry leading 40 year warranty. Each component is created with care by skilled makers who take immense pride in their work. From the curve of a spout to the tactile feel of a handle, every element is crafted with intention.

What investments have you had to make?

Our commitment to Australian manufacturing goes hand-in-hand with ongoing investment in innovation. We are continually evolving our manufacturing capabilities, acquiring cutting-edge machinery and adopting advanced materials and techniques, such as our lead free UltraBrass and our inhouse trivalent chrome plating line, which keep us at the forefront of the industry.

We have also invested in innovation by building a strong and passionate team that is inspired by the company’s mission and values. This has fostered a culture where continuous improvement and creativity thrive.

What impact is Faucet Strommen making on local communities?

Supporting Australian manufacturing is as much about building a stronger, more self-reliant country as it is making high quality products, and we are proud to be developing local talent, creating jobs, and strengthening regional economies. In an era when many companies have chosen to offshore production, our commitment to keeping production at home is contributing to national sustainability and pride.

How does manufacturing in Australia impact sustainability for Faucet Strommen?

By choosing to manufacture locally, we are able to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. Material can progress from a solid bar through machining to polishing, finishing and assembly all in-house so components move on trolleys, not trucks. This approach supports the environment but also ensures greater transparency and accountability. Additionally, we embrace a circular mindset with the materials we use. Every brass shaving that falls from the machines is collected, melted down, and reformed into new brass bars. This recycling process minimises waste and maximises resource use, reinforcing our commitment to building a cleaner, greener future through responsible manufacturing.

How are you building a legacy by choosing to manufacture differently?

As we look to the future, our commitment to local craftsmanship, sustainable manufacturing, and design excellence remains stronger than ever. With over a quarter of a century of experience and a team dedicated to our mission, we are revolutionising the industry; by not only producing some of the finest architectural fittings in the world, but also shaping the future of Australian manufacturing.

Whether you’re fitting out a new home, a renovation, or a luxury hotel, choosing Faucet Strommen means choosing quality, sustainability, and a brand with true Australian heart.
