
Ken Fong’s 13+ years work has included roles at the highest levels of advisory and industry consultation, contributing to award-winning human-centred design outcomes. Notably, Ken was the design lead for Arup Melbourne’s WELL Platinum-certified workplace. The healthy building certification score (WELL) for the multiple award-winning project was the highest for any workplace in the world at the time. Ken combines best-in-practise engineering methods, cutting-edge research and deep understanding of the client’s needs to achieve real-world business & organisational outcomes for his clients. These include increased talent attraction & retention, greater staff engagement & productivity, higher property saleability, improved leasing velocity & increased organisational ESG outcomes.
Through his involvement in industry research within both the Acoustics and Healthy Buildings & Communities disciplines, Ken was appointed to the COVID-19 Buildings Task Force in 2020 and to the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Global Advisory Council. He is also a former Green Building Council Australia (GBCA) Health & Wellbeing Expert Reference Panel Member.
